Brigitte Byron, business Development

Brigitte began her multifamily career in 2002 as a Leasing Consultant with Equity Residential. Starting on the front lines shaped the way she leads today: understand the property, support the people, and follow through. In 2006, she was named Equity Residential’s Leasing Consultant of the Year, recognizing her commitment to delivering a positive leasing experience and helping communities thrive.

When Equity Residential left the Nashville market, Brigitte joined Milestone Management at its largest Greater Nashville community—a 994-unit property. That demanding environment sharpened her organizational skills and reinforced the importance of teamwork. Within her first year, she received Milestone’s Associate’s Choice Award for her dedication to her team and community.

Her next chapter at Brookside Properties took her from Assistant Property Manager to Property Manager, then into training and regional leadership. At her first community, Brigitte and her team increased occupancy from 85% to 93% in less than three months and sustained that progress. She also began mentoring newly hired property managers, discovering a passion for helping others grow into confident, capable leaders. In 2014, she received Brookside’s Nelson Andrews Award.

In 2015, the owner of a distressed West Nashville community selected Brigitte to lead its renovation and relaunch. Together with her team, she oversaw interior and exterior improvements and brought occupancy to 95% within six months. That same year, she earned her Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) credential, completed the Greater Nashville Apartment Association’s Leadership Lyceum program, and was named Nashville’s Go-Getter of the Year.

As her responsibilities grew, Brookside created a Director of Training role for Brigitte. She led the company’s mentor program, supporting 11 manager mentors while also overseeing three communities as a regional manager. Her portfolio later expanded to more than 1,800 units, allowing her to combine operational leadership with the work she values most: developing people and strengthening teams.

Giving back to the industry has been equally meaningful to Brigitte. She served on the Greater Nashville Apartment Association’s board from 2015 to 2023 and received its Management Volunteer of the Year award in 2021. Those experiences deepened her commitment to industry advocacy, community service, and helping the next generation of multifamily professionals succeed.

Since leaving Brookside in 2022, Brigitte has continued leading property operations and supporting communities through change. At a 410-unit community, she helped stabilize operations within three months by filling staffing gaps and improving occupancy, delinquency, and resident retention. She also helped a newly formed, multistate management company bring 14 properties in-house, developing policies and procedures, coordinating transitions, and staffing its communities.

Today, Brigitte brings more than two decades of experience to Stewart Asset Solutions, which she is building alongside Tim Stewart. Her approach is practical and hands-on, grounded in the belief that strong property performance starts with people. By pairing clear expectations and accountability with training, encouragement, and consistent support, she helps owners strengthen their teams, stabilize their communities, and turn a plan into lasting results.
